Bruce Waring, M.D. has served on Community First Foundation’s board of directors since 1998.

Dr. Waring has also served on the board of Exempla Healthcare, as a member of its executive committee and as chair of the Exempla audit and compliance committee.

Dr. Waring is a board certified general surgeon and a partner at Foothills Surgical Associates, P.C., a surgical group practice specializing in general surgery, thoracic, oncology and endocrine surgery.  He received his undergraduate at Colorado State University in chemistry and his medical training and surgical residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center where he graduated with honors.

Dr. Waring is on the medical staff at Exempla Lutheran Medical Center where he served on both the credentials and cancer committees. He is the past recipient of the Denver Medical Society Award for Community Service, the Denver Academy of Surgery Award, and the Young Surgeon Award from the American College of Surgeons.
