Tellez joined Community First Foundation’s board of directors in December 2011.

Tellez has served as the medical director of Metro Community Provider Network since 2007. This nonprofit organization serves the needs of approximately 45,000 under and uninsured residents in three counties in the Denver area.

Most recently, Tellez served as vice president of medical affairs at MedPlus, a health information technology subsidiary for Quest Diagnostics, Inc.

Tellez received his BS at Loyola University, his Masters of Public Health at University of California, his Doctor of Medicine at University of Minnesota and his MS in Health Administration at the University of Colorado Denver Business School.
