Foundation Releases Endowment Planning Guide  

Community First Foundation created a ground-breaking initiative called Nonprofit Preservation in 2004. Unlike other initiatives that support specific services, Nonprofit Preservation was designed to support the long-term future of charitable organizations. It is based on the Foundation’s belief in the importance of nonprofits in our community, and to ensure their vital services continue to flourish. To build on the idea of constructing a strong core for nonprofits through endowments, Community First Foundation worked with Houston-based The Dini Partners to develop an Endowment Planning Guide.

This invaluable guide helps nonprofits not only assess their readiness in undertaking an endowment campaign, but also provides organizations in the midst of campaigns with excellent fund-raising tactics. In this guide you will find insights into invigorating endowment campaigns plus an assortment of evaluation tools.

The guide was only released to the Foundation’s nonprofit partners and potential nonprofit partners on October 23, 2007, at an educational seminar centered on endowment building.
