GivingFirst Raises Over Half a Million Dollars in Six Months
We are pleased to announce that more than half a million dollars has been raised through GivingFirst since its launch on May 31, 2007.
That means that in just six months (May 31 - November 30, 2007) 1,156 donors contributed $541,220 to 120 GivingFirst participants. Community First Foundation's match of $100,000 brings the total to $641,220.
The online giving tool launched with the participation of 60 metropolitan Denver community nonprofits. One hundred and thirteen nonprofits joined the online Web site in early October, bringing the total number of participants to 173.
Mike Jackson, director of nonprofit relations and services, says, "We expect even more growth in 2008. Our goal is to add 200 additional participants to this program."
