How To Give: Overview

Thank you for your interest in Community First Foundation. The contributions of many generous donors are helping us strengthen the metropolitan Denver community.

Support from people like you enabled us to return more than $2.7 million to the community in 2008 through initiatives, programs and grant-making. These dollars are directed toward pressing community needs under the careful guidance of our staff, board of directors and community leaders.

There are many ways to support the community through Community First Foundation. The following pages provide information on various methods of giving:

Make a Gift During Your Lifetime

Also called “current” and “outright” gifts, these options include cash, stock, securities, real estate, and a variety of assets. They benefit Community First Foundation immediately while providing a current tax deduction for the donor. Income-generating gifts for donors are also included in this category.

Make a Gift After Your Lifetime

These are gifts of assets realized by our Foundation upon the donor’s death, such as estate gifts or bequests.

Start a Charitable Fund

Charitable funds allow you to define a specific purpose for your gift and support organizations over time. These funds are overseen and managed by the Foundation and our board of directors.
