Supporting the Nonprofit Community

Community First Foundation raises funds and offers grants to support programs, initiatives and organizations that strengthen lives in the metropolitan Denver area. A local network that includes nonprofit organizations and members of our staff and board of directors keeps us aware of important community needs. These relationships enable us to develop initiatives and offer grants we believe will make the most impact in the community.

Signature Initiatives & Programs

Nonprofit Preservation

Nonprofit Preservation is a unique initiative that focuses on the long-term health of Denver area nonprofits. Comprised of innovative programs, grants and opportunities, the initiative helps sustain the nonprofit sector for future generations.

Endowment Management and Support

We support the long-term health of nonprofits through endowment fund management, training and mentoring. We have helped nearly 70 nonprofits establish endowments through our Endowment Challenge Grants program.

Online Philanthropy

• ColoradoGives, an online philanthropy program that centers on a website called ColoradoGives.org, helps hundreds of local nonprofits attract donations by featuring in-depth profiles about their work. Click the link below to learn more about our program.
  
  ColoradoGives Program
• Colorado Gives Day is an initiative to increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving, inspiring Coloradoans to donate millions to their communities in just one day. Colorado Gives Day 2012 will be held on Tuesday, December 4. In 2011, the online giving event resulted in a total of $12.8 million for Colorado nonprofits. Planned Giving Support

• The Charitable Gift Annuity program helps nonprofits offer a major gift option that generates income for donors while Community First Foundation provides the program expertise, resources, marketing tools and management.
