Powering community through grantmaking

At Community First Foundation, our grant dollars are allocated based on our three primary areas of focus: honoring our heritage in Jefferson County, promoting mental wellness, and strengthening nonprofits. We also fund promising, but not yet proven, approaches that intend to make an impact in our focus areas.

As a nontraditional funder, we collaborate with community partners on the types and quantity of funding we provide.

Our community impact team uses a variety of grantmaking processes including directed/invited grant proposals, designed grant initiatives, and open/competitive grants.
