Community First Foundation is please to award a $26,987 grant to the Jeffco Safe Students Fund to the Jeffco DeAngelis Foundation.

The Jeffco DeAngelis Foundation is dedicated to increasing consistencies in practice around safety and security in schools. The Foundation supports, and does much of its work, at the Frank DeAngelis Center for Community Safety in Wheat Ridge. To date, more than 8,000 first responders from around Colorado and the country have been trained at the center.

Several Jefferson County agencies participate in training at the Center, including:

• Jeffco Schools Safety and Security Team
• Arvada Police Department
• Golden Police Department
• Lakewood Police Department
• Jeffco Sherriff’s Office
• West Metro Fire Rescue
• Jeffco Schools Nurses
• Jeffco Schools Administrative Staff
